BBQ Competition

The Milliken Events Committee is excited to announce our second KCBS sanctioned BBQ Competition on Saturday, August 14, 2021.  Although we are in the planning stages of our event and making some changes based on feedback from our first competition, we can't have an event without . . . YOU!

  1. Complete the PFD application and either email, fax or mail the completed form in with payment.  

  2. Click the PayPal Button below to choose booth size and remit payment. 

  3. You MUST provide a W-9

  4. You MUST comply with The Milliken Events Committe & KCBS Rules and Regulations.

People's Choice

  • KCBS Teams are eligible to participate in the “People’s Choice”.

  • Teams participating in People’s choice must comply with Weld County Health & Fire Departments regulations.

  • Pork Butts will be donated to the teams who wish to participate in People’s Choice.  However, The People’s Choice participants will provide their own sauces, rubs & supplies.

  • At the end of the event, tickets & tokens will be counted to determine, and proceeds are split between the competitor (50%) and The Milliken Events Committee (50%, which will assist with competition costs). Money to be paid out at time of ticket counting. This year, we will not hold 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners only 50/50 split between competitors and Milliken Events Committee.

  • Teams can ONLY cook & sell individual 1 oz of meat for 1 ticket each.

  • The Milliken Events Committee will sell 10 tickets/ $20.00 at a designated location near the People’s Choice destination.

Making Soup


You are required to reserve a space. The 4 meat categories are required to qualify for KCBS points and to be eligible to win the Reserve and Grand Reserve Champion Prizes.

Initial Four Required Categories – 

$250 (ENTRY FEE for a 20 x 30 space)

$275 (ENTRY FEE for a 20 x 40 space)

  • Pork Ribs

  • Pork Shoulder

  • Brisket


No refunds. Your paid entry fee will be applied toward next year if you cancel. Please see waiver of liability below for additional information.
